Writing was the gift God handed me one day when I felt lost and purposeless. My story isn’t quite like that of other writers. Yes, I loved to write even when I was young, but it wasn’t until I turned 27 that I found my gift. And it didn’t come easy. How was I to become a writer? That was an ethereal idea. I realized it could happen with the hand of God directly involved. Now I’ve grown so much as a writer. Hopefully there’ll be a day in the near future where I’ll see more of my hard work in print.
But there’s so much more to me than writing. I have lots of kids. Five of my own, but I like to count my kids’ friends and my niece’s friends, too. When you see them all the time, they might as well be added to the fold.
Family’s very important to me. I have a big family that gets together for dinner every week. It’s not unusual to have twenty or more people over to eat. We have the best time talking politics and world events, watching movies and playing games. If it’s someone’s birthday, we throw that into the mix at our weekly dinners. The kids love to invite their friends, too. It’s an open door policy here.
I can’t leave my hubby out of this crazy mix. He and I were high school sweethearts. He’s the best friend I ever had and the biggest encourager to help my dreams become realities. Life has been more than exciting with him by my side.
Because of the big family I had to find a way to start saving money. That’s where the couponing came in. I had to learn and I’m so glad I did. Of course it’s no good to keep all that knowledge to myself so I’ll be sharing it with you here and there.
I’d love to hear from you! I love getting mail, and I welcome your questions and comments. You can drop me a line via the form on my Contact Page, and, if you’re interested, sign up for my newsletter, a quarterly sneak peek into upcoming projects. Thank you for your interest and support.
