Killer Covers

I haven’t had much time to read the last couple weeks, so I’m hoping this weekend will provide the perfect break to finish one book and start another.

After I saw the cover to After the Thaw, I had to take a peak at the inside. Author Therese Heckenkamp caught my attention right off the bat with this suspense novel. This is a very nice blend of images! So I had to buy the first one and this one. See that’s how important a cover is to me. I ALWAYS start with the cover.

But how about a bit of cowboy romance? Doesn’t it sound like fun to disappear into the west for a few hours? Check out Cowboys Under the Mistletoe.  And what a good deal. It’s also fitting that the Midwest is getting slammed with snow right now. This box set matches the mood.

One book or a whole box? What’s on your reading list for this weekend? Comment below.

    1. I had a different set of books in mind to read this weekend but I think I might have to put them aside to read this two book series!

  2. I’m reading The Promise of a Letter by Kathleen Fuller.

    1. Cool. How do you like it so far?

  3. Hi Erin! Thanks so much for featuring After the Thaw on your blog. I’m honored! Of course I’m biased, but I agree the cover designer (Elena Karoumpali of L1graphics) did an awesome job. 🙂

Great site you have here, and I enjoyed checking out all the other catchy covers!

    Thanks again!

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by and saying hello! And for checking out some of the other authors I’ve featured. I can’t wait to delve into your books.

      1. My pleasure, Erin! I hope you enjoy them. 🙂 I’m currently immersed in Ginny L. Yttrup’s book Home.

        1. Ah. What genre is it? Is it good so far?

          1. Hi again, Erin! Home is in the Christian contemporary women’s fiction genre, and yes, it’s good so far! I really like that the main character is a novelist and one of the other characters is an editor. Lots to relate to!

          2. Ooh, I’d like to read about a writer and editor. You’re right, we could definitely relate.

  4. Wow, great covers! I’m reading RaeAnne Thayne this weekend. I love her books!

  5. Thanks for highlighting Cowboys Under the Mistletoe! Isn’t it a great cover? I feel blessed to be part of this boxed set with such talented authors. I’m writing, rather than reading, this weekend, because I’m on deadline. =)

    1. Hope you have a blessed and productive couple of days! Being on deadline is tough.

      1. Thank you, Erin. I had a nice weekend. Deadlines are good for me. =)
